Joint Commission
The Ben Gordon Center is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved reaccreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations

Understanding ADHD: Strategies and Management:
Understanding ADHD: Strategies and management is a four-week series on understanding and managing symptoms of ADHD. The wellness series will be presented at Ben Gordon Center, 12 Health Services Drive on Wednesdays in October as part of Mental Illness Awareness Week. The class is open to parents, teachers, professionals, or anyone interested in learning more about the disorder. Participants will learn the diagnostic criteria for the diagnosis of ADHD. Topics covered will also include the probable causes of ADHD, associated problems with ADHD and the coexisting conditions with ADHD. Common misperceptions about ADHD will be presented. Participants will learn about effective treatments for ADHD such as medication management, behavioral management and the educational management and gain a better understanding of the impact ADHD has on the family. The series will begin in Wednesday October 7th. The Cost is 75.00 for the series. Individuals can register by calling the Ben Gordon Center at 815-756-4875.
