Ben Gordon Center provides professional mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment services. The organization is accredited with Commendation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and holds all the licenses required for operation.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide behavioral healthcare services in a timely manner to the people we serve, in order to assist them in creating the highest quality of life possible.

Membership
BGC is a member of the Precedence Plus Behavioral Health Network, which includes licensed providers in central and northwest Illinois, and is Accredited with Commendation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

What you enjoy most about working at the Ben Gordon Center:
I enjoy the camaraderie with my co-workers. I feel good when I know that I've really helped someone. Every day is different and I like that.

Areas of specialty:
Crisis intervention. SASS and State Operated Hospital evaluations. Individual empowerment.

Therapeutic approaches:
I like to use the "Best Practices" approach by increasing protective factors and decreasing risk factors. The client is in charge of his/her own changes and success by implementing learned coping and problem solving skills.
