Ben Gordon Center provides professional mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment services. The organization is accredited with Commendation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and holds all the licenses required for operation.

Our mission is to provide behavioral healthcare services in a timely manner to the people we serve, in order to assist them in creating the highest quality of life possible.

Membership
BGC is a member of the Precedence Plus Behavioral Health Network, which includes licensed providers in central and northwest Illinois, and is Accredited with Commendation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

What you enjoy most about working at the Ben Gordon Center:
Working with my colleagues who are experts in counseling and everyone else in medical services.

Areas of specialty:
ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders

Therapeutic approaches:
My treatment approach is based on biopsychosocial model of mental illness. Psychotropic medication intervention must be integrated with psychotherapy for the individual as well as the family targeting some of the precipitating and perpetuating factors identified at the time of evaluation. The goal is beyond disease remission --- Emphasis is on enhancing academic and occupational functioning in society and overall well being of an individual.
