Since August, 2002
What you enjoy most about working at the Ben Gordon Center:
I enjoy being able to work with people who have a broad range of presenting issues and have varied life experiences.
Areas of specialty:
Depression,
Anxiety,
Addiction,
Couples/Family Therapy,
Psychological Testing
Therapeutic approaches:
I work with every individual to identify the specific obstacles to his/her goals, which allows me to determine the most appropriate clinical approach. I work with an integration of research supported treatments including Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. In general I want to help people to understand the symptoms they are having, gain motivation to approach problems directly through experiencing the negative emotion that often promotes and the development of symptoms, and provide skills to resolve and prevent relapse of symptoms.
